5 Ways to Be Stylish Comfortably

5 Ways to Be Stylish Comfortably

Let's face it, since the lockdown we all became VERY dependent on our comfy clothes. Those of us who were accustomed to jeans and a nice top were suddenly wearing trackies and a (probably wine-stained) jumper, or rocking the dressing gown, pyjama, and slipper getup all hours of the day. Those of us working from home could own a pair of festive leggings and still turn up to Zoom calls looking as professional as ever. So, naturally, the easing lockdown restrictions and the opening of pubs has been a bit of a reality shock, particularly for our wardrobes.

But, do we really have to go back to sore heels, barely visible undies and razor burn? Maybe we can say hasta la vista to lockdown without saying bye to comfort! How? Let us show you!

1. Choose the Right Fabrics

Clothes are only as comfortable as the material they’re made from, which is why it’s important to pick the right one! Linen, cotton, cashmere and lycra are all breathable, lightweight fabrics to give you that netflix-and-chill comfort wherever you are. For maximum comfort, stay away from synthetic fabrics or anything too rigid!

2. A-Line and Smock Silhouettes

Spring and Summer scream picnic weather, and picnics mean food! Give your tummy room to breathe with an outfit that doesn’t sit too tight. Our bodies change throughout the day, and it’s important that our clothes fit us - not that we fit our clothes! If this sounds up your alley, you can check out the range of midi-dresses on our online shop. And, if you like the extra cinch, elasticated waistbands and belts are another great way to prioritise comfort.

3. Go Maxi!

There’s nothing more than a short, flowy dress on a windy day, especially when it’s too hot to be wearing tights! Midi and Maxi skirts and dresses are a great way to get your legs out without fear of unexpected flashes! You can find a range of extra-comfy maxi-dresses on our online shop.

4. Boot Up

Tractor boots, chelsea boots, combat boots, sock boots - they’re all taking 2021 by storm, and rightly so. Imagine a world with no more sore heels or crushed toes! Boots are a great way to keep the heel without the hurt.

5. Accessorise!

Diane Von Furstenberg said “Jewellery is like the perfect spice - it always compliments what’s already there”, and she wasn’t wrong! But why stop there? Hair accessories and bags (and now even face coverings!) are a great way to elevate any outfit, allowing you to master the effortless chic look.
