What We Do
At DesignerFriday, we craft slow fashion that empowers women: both those who make them and those who wear them.
Our Creative Process
We combined the love of fashion with one of the world’s oldest textile print traditions and brought it to London. Our wooden block designs have existed in the Rajasthani communities for decades. Our fabrics are sourced for feel, not just appearance.
-
London Studio Design
Our zero-waste journey begins in our London studio, where we spark creativity using upcycled fabrics like old t-shirts and leftover textiles to craft mock-ups.
-
Artisan Production
These designs are then sent to our women artisans in India, who bring them to life using organic cotton and non-toxic dyes, ensuring your skin and the planet stay healthy.
-
Natural Dye Process
We use skin-friendly dyes including flowers like rose, eucalyptus and marigolds to create amazing patterns. Our vegetable-based, non-toxic dyes are safer for the environment, the artisans who make the garments, and customers with sensitive skin or chemical sensitivities.
Ethical, Women-Empowering Production
By prioritising women-led production, flexible working hours, and fair pay, DesignerFriday supports economic independence, skill development, and community resilience for women artisans.
100% Women-Led Production
Every garment is crafted in women-only workshops, supporting economic independence and skill development.
Fair Trade Ethical Partnerships
We work with audited partners who ensure fair wages, safe conditions, and community reinvestment.
India — Artisan Communities
Our makers work in Rajasthani artisan communities, preserving traditional block-printing techniques for future generations.
